We are renaming our SCRIP program (i.e. “what does S-C-R-I-P mean??) to better inform our families and parishioners of this easy, no-hassle way to raise significant funds for our school. As the holidays approach, we are inviting our school and parish to think about using Gift Cards for their holiday shopping. Many commonly-used cards (WalMart, Giant Eagle, Eat-n-Park etc.) are often on hand in the Rectory or at the church entrance before and after weekend masses. Buyers can also choose to pick up an order form in the back of the church to order some of the hundreds of other retail, travel and restaurant cards. The cards are sold for face value and are worth face value when you use them. We get a percentage of every card purchased. There is also another option to use the “SCRIP Now” online site where buyers can purchase and print out paper Gift Cards at home. In years’ past we have exceeded $10,000.00 in sales which goes directly to subsidizing student tuition costs for all students. We plan to announce a “School Gift Card Challenge” for the holiday season. Details will be forthcoming. Please tell your friends and families and consider using St. Peter’s Gift Card program this holiday season for meals and gifts and for your everyday shopping needs as well.
