Catholic Schools Week – a School “Treasure” Every Year!

This month St. Peter School will join thousands of other Catholic schools across the country to celebrate the gift of Catholic education in the Annual NCEA Catholic Schools Week event. Scheduled for January 27 – February 1, the week will include a multitude of fun school and family events as we thank the many souls that support our school and celebrate our our students, staff, and the gift of our Catholic school. Details about the Spirit Days and activities will be sent home the second week in January but mark your calendars now for our Open House and annual WINTER CARNIVAL!! Our Open House will be on Monday, January 28th from 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Teachers and staff will be on hand to welcome students and families (new and old!), parish members and anyone who would like to learn more about St. Peter’s and see our school and samplings of our student work. The annual WINTER CARNIVAL will be Wednesday evening, January 30th from 6-8pm in the Parish Hall. Students will run the “carnival” themed games and activities to raise money for our sister parish in Porus, Jamaica. Many hearts and hands are needed for this event so be sure to check in and see how you can help either set up or clean up or with all the fun in between! The theme this year is a “Treasure Hunt” in line with our “R.I.C.H in Christ” theme. Each student will receive a Winter Carnival t-shirt which will be ordered for them at school and worn that day and night for the Carnival when they work their “shift” at their class booth. Each class will have a different “jewel tone” colored t-shirt. IF ANY PARENT OR SIBLING WOULD LIKE TO ORDER A CARNIVAL T-SHIRT, please send in $10 to the school and be sure to list your name, shirt size and the grade level color you would like to have for each shirt BY WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 9TH. Then spread the word, and get ready to celebrate with us!
